If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, overwhelm or a big transition in your life, then you've come to the right place.

I know how hard it is to peal yourself out of bed and face the day when it has the potential to be stressful or overwhelming, and leave you feeling anxious, depressed, or any number of other ways.

I help people just like you change your life to create more balance and reconnect with joy and a sense of meaning so that you can start looking forward to your days again.

About Becky Howie

I know what it's like to struggle sometimes with daily life because I've had my own experiences with stress, perfectionism, burnout, anxiety and depression.  I didn't learn until later in my life that I was not in fact broken, I actually just have a special trait which allows me to experience the world more deeply and intensely than most: I am a highly sensitive person (HSP).  Maybe you are too?

Being a highly sensitive therapist and coach means that I tend to be very in-tune with my clients’ emotions and what is going on underneath. This promotes greater understanding and allows us to quickly identify challenges and find a path forward to healing.

It was through my own journey of healing that I learned how important self-compassion is when we are struggling.  I also discovered the healing powers of mindfulness, reconnection with nature, and psychotherapy.  This spurred my mission to share what I learned with others who are still struggling and help them understand that they are not broken either, and that they too can find relief and a path forward.

After working a variety of corporate and tech jobs for over a decade and understanding all-too-well the stresses our modern lives entail, I decided to change gears and pursue a masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University.  I am now a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado and a coach for clients around the globe.

It is this unique combination of experience and training that informs my psychotherapy and coaching practice.  I am passionate about helping people create balance and find fulfillment in their lives.

I have been blessed to work with a wide variety of individuals who struggle with challenges such as:

  • Stress & Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Negative Thought Patterns

  • Perfectionism & Workaholism

  • High sensitivity (this is a gift, not a curse, I promise!)

  • Low Self-Esteem & Self-Acceptance

  • Addiction (both behavioral and substance)

  • Trauma

  • Burnout

  • Life & Career Transitions

  • Relationship challenges

My approach draws from several research-backed modalities including wilderness/nature-based therapies, mindfulness, positive psychology, self-compassion, attachment theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I work with each client to find an approach that fits for you.  Together, we can do this!

I am an avid outdoorswoman and a lover of Nature, so in my spare time you will often find me outside hiking with my dogs, climbing, skiing, cycling; or indoors dancing, doing yoga, spending time with friends, and talking to my houseplants.
