Has stress thrown your life out of balance?

  • Are you stretched too thin between crazy schedules at work and home, leaving no time for exercise or fun?

  • Do you eat junk food or drink more when you're feeling stressed and then end up gaining weight?

  • Do you have a hard time relaxing or sleeping because of everything on your mind?

  • Are you feeling tired all the time or getting sick easily and don't know why?

  • Do you have a shorter fuse and snap more easily at loved ones or co-workers when you're under pressure?

  • Do you feel overwhelmed, like you just need a break from all the responsibilities in your life?

Many people ignore the early warning signs of stress and don't take action until it reaches full-blown burnout, their health starts to suffer or something really serious happens, like a heart attack or stroke, that forces them to slow down and take stock.

Others keep their head down and power through only to realize later on when they pick their head up that they've lost the important things they were enduring the stress for in the first place: their partner, their relationship with their kids, the ability to relax & enjoy life.

I know what it's like to feel stressed and burned out

Hi, I'm Becky Howie, and I help busy professionals struggling with stress and burnout to create balance in their lives so they can go from feeling stressed & tired to feeling happy, healthy & fulfilled.

Before becoming a psychotherapist and coach, I spent 10 years working in the tech and corporate world at startups and big corporations and I know all too well the strain it can put on our systems.  I teach people skills to manage stress before it gets out of hand so it doesn't lead to bigger issues later.

What if you could...

  • Stay calm under pressure so you can make smart choices and communicate effectively, even in difficult situations

  • Manage your to-do list while still having time & energy for YOU to exercise, relax, and enjoy the good things in life

  • Handle stressful emotions so you can avoid getting snappy and improve relationships with loved ones, friends, and co-workers

  • Stop stress-eating and make more intentional choices that lead to a healthier you!

  • Ease the strain of stress on your body so you can stop getting sick and start feeling healthy and strong again

  • Reconnect with yourself through mindfulness and nature-based practices

  • Calm your busy mind so you can relax and sleep better

How Does Group Work?

You’ll learn research-backed techniques for reducing stress

The Stress Management Group curriculum was specially designed to help you achieve the outcomes above by teaching proven skills and techniques for reducing stress.  I teach a combination of mindfulness, nature-based practices and other proven techniques for reducing stress and reconnecting with yourself and your joy in life.  Whether your stress comes from work, home, difficult transitions, relationships, or kids, these techniques are simple and you can incorporate them into your everyday life without a lot of extra effort for a big impact on your stress and energy levels.

We’ll Cover Key Sources of Stress & How to Handle Them

Each week we will learn and practice one or more techniques related to the main areas that tend to throw people’s lives out of balance. Topics include: how to manage competing demands on your time, strategies to stop stress-eating, letting go of anxious or worrisome thoughts, techniques to relax the body and mind for better sleep, working with difficult situations/people, calming your system by connecting with nature, working with negative or self-critical thoughts, managing stressful emotions, and many more!

…And there’s a mini-retreat!

Towards the end of the 8 weeks, we will gather together for a half day retreat. This is our opportunity to practice the mindfulness and nature-based skills learned together in a group setting. Depending on weather, some or all of this retreat will be held outdoors.
